For 24 years, The Woodsmiths, Inc. has participated in some of the largest and most high profile projects on the Cape and Islands. Our work can be seen on numerous websites and in many periodicals.
Our 8,400 square foot shop contains a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment including: a Northtech Gang Rip Saw, an SCMI Superset 23-5 head moulder, a Cemco wide belt sander and numerous shapers, planers and jointers and specialty hand tools. This equipment allows The Woodsmiths to cost and fabricate millwork components and mouldings of unparalleled complexity to exact specifications. Vacuum priming is offered through a line that includes an Advanced 612T vacuum coater.
Bill Frey purchased The Woodsmiths in August of 2011, from its founders, Wayne and Marilyn Hatt. From their humble beginnings in their barn on Brick Kiln Road in 1989, they established a thriving business thanks to their knowledge, craftsmanship, investment in technology, and customer focus. Bill is backed by a team of talented woodworkers and support staff. He is growing the business beyond the Cape, servicing Eastern Massachusetts (MA) and Rhode Island (RI), while maintaining the tradition of quality and responsiveness established by Wayne and Marilyn.
In 1995 the business moved into its current site at 28 Village Common Drive in East Falmouth. In 1998 a 7,200 square foot warehouse was added for our on-site inventory of specialty hardwoods, softwoods, PVC and sheet goods.
We are grateful for our builder and architect partners and enjoy solving problems for them.
